Humming Along and Home to Roost

Even in the Deep South, it can get downright cold in January. Since I love Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends and Watercolor Pencils, what better way to while away the long winter days than color! The Humming Along Cling Stamp Set and the Sale-A-Bration Home to Roost Cling Stamp Set were the perfect stamps for my projects.

HUMMING ALONG CLING STAMP SET

This was one of the stamp sets that was demonstrated at OnStage Orlando in November, and I loved it at first sight. There’s a beautiful flower, a hummingbird (we love hummers!) and sentiments to complete the project.

I stamped the hummingbird in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, the colored it with Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I used a strip of the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper and the sentiment is from the Humming Along Cling Stamp Set, stamped in Memento.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Shimmery White Cardstock for this one, since it adds just a touch of shimmer. The hummingbird is stamped in StazOn Ink, then colored with Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter. The Red Rhinestones were the extra touch of bling I wanted. The Stitched Labels Framelits Die gave a touch of texture to the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock base.

Shimmery White Cardstock, stamped with StazOn Ink then colored with our Watercolor Pencils. I also used the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder and the Everyday Label Punch for the sentiment from the Humming Along Stamp Set.

But there’s also a gorgeous flower with this stamp set! This is one of Stampin’ Up’s new Cling Stamp Sets, found in the Occasions Catalog. Three great sentiments, too.

For these two flower images, I used Memento Ink, then the Watercolor Pencils, and the Blender Pen. The blue flower is Pacific Point and the pink flower is Flirty Flamingo. I used the light Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend to add contrast around the flowers and make them pop.

The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper is the perfect background!

I stamped the flower in Versamark on the Pear Pizzaz Cardstock.

Home to Roost Cling Stamp Set

I used Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Paper for these, stamped the images in StazOn Ink, then used the Watercolor Pencils and the AquaPainter to color them.

For these I used Whisper White or Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock, stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, the colored with Stampin’ Blends. I used the Stitched Labels Framelits, and the Pinewood Planks and Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.

One of the items in the new Occasions Catalog that I used is the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. One of my VERY favorites that is already getting a lot of use!

Garden Impressions One Sheet Wonder Cards

What a wonderful summer it’s been for the Stewart house! Lots of times with grands and kids equals pure bliss! One of the things I love about spring and summer (and even fall) is all the flowers that are blooming. The Abstract Impressions Suite has coordinating floral stamps and floral dies, and the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper coordinated beautifully to help create some beautiful projects.

I decided I wanted to do a One Sheet Wonder Class using the 6 X 6 Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. I was inspired by the template and card designs of Rebecca Urban, another talented Stampin’ Up Demonstrator. Here are the cards we made in this fun class.

This paper was just perfect for this Class to show how you can stretch our Stampin’ Up Designer Series Papers and get more bang for your buck! I used Soft Sea Foam and Calypso Coral Cardstock and Stampin’ Inks. The sentiments are from the Ribbon of Courage and the Beautiful Day Stamp Sets. So quick and easy!! Next I want to try a 12 X 12 One Sheet Wonder Class, and I’m sure the new Christmas Designer Series Papers will inspire me.

“You Can Make It” Beautiful Day Bundle

I stamped the images with the Memento Ink Pad, then colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I didn’t want to stop!

I started with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Combo, then decided to also use the Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combos, also. Bright and colorful and a very quick project.

The flower stamped called out to me, too, so I colored those in Calypso Coral and Lovely Lipstick. I used Old Olive for the leaves and Daffodil Delight Dark for the flower centers. Aren’t they just lovely? And remarkably quick to create such beautiful projects!

Our Crafting on the Hill Monthly Team Meetings are held the first Monday of each month.

This is a monthly time for Team Achievement Recognition (with prizes!), an overview of Stampin’ Up news and events, as well as stampin’ time and the fun of being together as a Team. AND a Door Prize!

We will be talking about the NEW Holiday Catalog and our stamping time will be one of the “You Can Make It” Projects in the new Annual Catalog. Feel free to join us to hear more about joining Stampin’ Up!

Come use this creatively fun Suite to make 2 traditional 12 X 12 page layouts using the Stampin’ Up Best Route Suite with coordinated cardstock, Designer Series Paper, stamps, inks and embellishments. Lots of scrapbooking tips and tricks included!
